Helena Kouzeleas began working as a photographer in the fashion industry in London 20 years ago. She graduated with a BA Hons degree in photography from Westminster University and was quickly taken on as the main fashion photographer for the Telegraphs teen supplement T2. After gaining experience with this publication, she moved on to regularly work for other magazines, including Elle, GQ, Marie Claire and The Guardian. Sarah Kaye Photography Agency, represented her work for many years whilst she was based in London and her photographs were used by numerous well known brands for commercial fashion, editorial and advertising campaigns.
After visiting the Algarve in Portugal, she realised the potential it had as a location to shoot in. The great lighting conditions, diverse landscapes, beautiful location houses and close proximity to the U.K. were all deciding factors to leave London with her family, for a warmer climate near the sea.
Since living in the Algarve, Helena's photography has evolved in many areas. She continues to shoot for fashion and lifestyle clients but also enjoys to photograph interiors, still life and food, having recently been published in a book "Purple Carrots of Portugal".
